boys ms track · MS Boys Track and Field Win Championship

North Phoenix Prep’s MS Boys won the Great Hearts Track and Field Championship today.  It was an impressive team win with 11 boys contributing to the scoring.  Zach Koss led the team by placing 2nd in 3 events; 100m, 200m, and Triple Jump.  He also anchored the 4×400 relay which placed 3rd.  His finals times in the 100m (11.82) and 200m (24.66) broke both school records.  Jake Reinhardt, Long Jump, and Trey Phillips, Triple Jump, each placed first in their jumping events, breaking both our school record and the Great Hearts Championship Meet Record. Thomas Koska placed 5th in the 800m and 1600m with Sammy Johnston placing 6th in both events.  Rounding out our individual scorers were Ernesto Rico Orozco in Discus and Shot Put, Harrison Brewer in Hurdles, and Avery Lentz in Triple Jump.  Our relay teams helped seal the victory with Harry Standley, Jeffrey Kipuros, and Julian Kimbel all major contributors.

The boys finished the meet with 16 PRs (Personal Records), 5 new school records and 2 new meet records.
