Boys Varsity Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · Jordan Black Wins State XC Title – Boys Team Places 3rd, Girls Team Places 13th


Gladiators HS Cross Country ran at the AIA Division 4 Championships today placing 3rd (Boys) and 13th (Girls).  This was North Phoenix Prep’s best team finishes in schools history.  Our boy’s team was led by Jordan Black (16:05) who won the first individual school XC title and first for the Great Hearts network.  It was an impressive win as he beat the field by 13 seconds and was the 3rd fastest runner of the entire day; Divisions 1-4.

Rocco Berbetti (17:22.2) and Richie Johnston (17:22.7) finished in 18th and 19th place; both receiving medals.  They were followed up by Thomas Koska 53rd (18:14), Sammy Johnston 65th (18:36), and Aidan Davis 111th (19:48).

D4 State – Boys Top 21

Our girl’s team was led by Seniors Juliana Baltram 14th (21:27) and Sabrina Kloft 78th (24:22), who both were running their final XC race as Gladiators.  Juliana is now the highest placing Gladiator for the girls team at State and received a medal for her 14th place finish.

Following behind them today was Katie Herrington 81st (24:30), Cora Moore 102nd (25:22), Alana Curtis 117th (26:06), Alina Boorse 130th (27:21), and Dagny McCrory 142nd (29:44).
